Jana's place

On Friday, my team went to a picnic at Marymor park. I played soccer and volleyball – I hadn’t played in years (more than 10 for sure). It was fun – I probably gave them the most funny moment by calling a ball then letting it go thru my arms and falling hard on the grass.

On Saturday, we went to Mercy Island, to a beach there. We walked a lot. Back at home, I went to a bike ride with Isa and Nick.

On Sunday, we went to Saint Edward’s State Park. Played at the playground, then went looking for a ‘easter egg’ hidden at the park. We had to go thru the most difficult trail – me, Nick, Isa, Cate, Newton, Marcus and Luciano. It was a long walk down in a very steep and narrow trail. We couldn’t find any of the clues, but at the end Cate and Newton found it and the kids got their stamps. Happily, we continued our walk thinking : we will get to the beach, rest and go back up. But no, it took us a very long time to get all the way down, the kids were hungry and we were tired.

When we got to the beach, we just turned around and continued walking :-)

I had to convince the boys to take turns running otherwise we would have to carry all of them.

It was fun but we got very tired.

Faz 6 meses que mudei para Search Monetization. Nunca trabalhei tanto como agora. Fiz de tudo um pouco – coaching, mentoring, bug bash organization, cross group coordination, feature planning, implementation, testing, investigation, fixes, ship meetings, bootcamp here and there, morale events, capacity testing, muito IC work, muito lead work, muito manager work.

Net-net: meu chefe me elogia e fala que o que faco eh esperado :0. Conclusao: para mudar de nivel em teste, voce tem que fazer o impossivel :-)

Eu gosto muito do meu chefe e gosto da area. Eh bem divertido. E stressante. Por enquanto vou ficando.

I gave my Zune to Melissa – I hope she is enjoying it. I went to the store to by a new one, but it didn’t have the size and color I wanted, so for now, I just listen Zune music in my computer.

As soon as I turn it on, 2 kids come running to me asking - ‘I want Wall-e’, ‘No, I want Cars’, etc….

So when you see my list of music in Zune, there is a lot of kids music on it.

I was listening it at work, until a co-worker went to my office and asked me to ‘turn it down’ :-) People are so serious in my group. I’m the person setting up morale events and happy hours and funny competitions!!!!

It is cool. I have a list of activities ready. And the guy who asked me to ‘turn it down’ moved, so I can ‘turn it on’ again.
